Tatler and H Stern June 21 2013

Hello Brazil! Champagne on Wednesday afternoon at the new H Stern store on Sloane Street. We love these Brazilian jewellery genius' bringing the carnival spirit to Knightsbridge. Located on the old site of the fashion mecca Browns, rumour has it that the lease premium alone for this European flagship cost £1,000,000. On hand to help us style the new H Stern collection was Tatlers' fabulous "It List" guru the uber chic, bang on trend, Mariella Tandy. Mariella even taught Brenda how to Instagram! Steal her style at Anna, the store manager was a font of information on the one off pieces we have unearthed from around the globe for Knightsbridge Rocks vintage collection. H Stern we will return....

Royal Ascot - Hats and Jewels June 08 2013

Royal Ascot is the jewel in the crown of the British sporting calender. In recent years the dress code for this event has tightened up, especially for the Royal Enclosure. Shoulders are less bare and skirt lengths are longer. The best bit is that hats are still compulsory so you can continue to have lots of fun dressing for the occasion. We spoke to our neighbours, the fabulous hat maker's Marie Merci, about how to style their gorgeous confections. If you are going for racy chic, try pairing a pillbox with the Diamond Line and Turquoise Ball Earrings. The Vintage Style "Gatsby" Diamond Earrings will not fail to impress in even the most extravagant head piece (must cover four inches of the head) and if you are looking to cause a stir with a very wide brim, the Vintage Ruby Bombe Earrings will finish the look to perfection. Visit Marie Mercis' bijoux store opposite the Bvlgari Hotel, at 8 Knightsbridge Green for a millinery treat. On your mark, get set, go.

Brunch at Christie's June 03 2013

Magnificent brunch and private viewing of Important Jewels at Christie's King Street. A particularly lovely way to spend a Sunday morning in the hallowed halls of this great institution. The brunch was delicious quail eggs benedict and florentine which were served alongside miniature smoked salmon bagels and Bloody Mary's. Strawberries and clotted cream were also on the menu but the piece de resistence was the ice sculpture housing a selection of ice creams where the elegant, bejewelled guests queued demurely to get their cones. Brenda and I were blown away by the stunning pieces on view and tried a number of these special jewels on to really get the feel of the quality and craftsmanship. Some were rather difficult for us to remove and return to display. Our friend Armelle de Laubier Rhally, Chrisites UK Business Manager for Jewellery, was able to direct us to the discreet room housing Private Sales. Incredible jewels twinkling from every corner of the room. Alexandre Rieunier, Private Sales Manager, showed us a 31 carat pearl, the 3rd largest in the world. It looks like a gigantic and very beautiful marble. The Important Jewellery sale is always so exciting. Good luck to all involved.

Knightsbridge Rocking! May 24 2013

Amazing evening for Knightsbridge Rocks Collection Preview at Cassis, Brompton Road on Wednesday. Mojitos', Bellinis' and Pink Champagne were the tipples of the night served with delicious beef tartare canapes. All the girls were looking ravishing. Lucy Goodman of Happy Films managed a very sleek and lovely appearance having just got off a plane from Montreal where her childrens' TV show Bookaboo was filming. The very beautiful Annabelle Nielson (muse to Alexander McQueen) and the gorgeous and clever Eva Simpson of the Times all had a sharp eye on the Diamond Circle Ear Pendants. Iain Watson MD of David Collins sharing styling tips with photographer Daniella Cesarei and the movie stylist Sally O'Sullivan The gorgeous Joanne Milner, Chief Executive of Debretts, was able to help us brush up on our Cocktail party etiquette as well as priming us for the social season so we can plan what jewellery to wear for every event We missed the lovely and talented Made in Chelsea BAFTA award winning producer Sarah Dillistone but managed to save her and the fabulous MIC cast some Knightsbridge Rocks Goody Bags to mark the occasion

Chelsea Flower Show - Champagne Breakfast and Private Tour May 21 2013

Got up ridiculously early for an amazing private tour of the show gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. This being the 100th year of the show it was a particularly special occasion. The Arthritis Garden was very moving with it's precious frankincense plant. It felt like being transplanted onto a movie set for the Australian Trailfinders' Garden. This wonderfully brave garden was announced "Best in Show" as we stood by. Thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous Champagne breakfast hosted by RHS President Elizabeth Banks. None of the great and the good of the gardening world held back on the sensational spread or the Champagne after a brisk walk around the Royal Hospital. At 8am it felt like lunchtime.Went for a stroll around the stunning flower displays afterwards. Can't decide whether I wanted to wear the flowering cacti or actually eat them.

Lunch with Theo Fennell May 11 2013

Fantastic lunch at Theo Fennell in Chelsea on Thursday. Amazing to get to see the workshop and the beautiful intricate pieces that they make. Works of Art indeed. Even the drawings of the jewels are gallery worthy. Lots of great chat about jewellery, jewellery, jewellery....Thanks Theo for a fab afternoon!

Patrick Cox's 50th Birthday Party March 16 2013

Spent a sparkling evening at the newly refurbished Cafe Royal celebrating shoe designer extraordinaire Patrick Cox's 50th birthday. Champagne and Grey Goose Cocktails were the drinks 'du nuit' in the opulent Pompadour Suite, we danced the night away as Regent Street lay quiet below. And the jewels' shined especially those worn by Elizabeth Hurley. Patrick certainly knows how to throw a party!! And now that he is designing a new range for Geox we can wear shoes that are chic yet comfortable. Who knew it was possible?!

John Rocha Fashion Show February 16 2013

Saturday afternoon, Katie Kelly and I selected our most fashionable jewels, jumped into a taxi and headed to Somerset House to watch John Rocha's Autmun/Winter 2013/2014 show. John showed us a breathtaking collection, surprisingly full of colour; bold yellows, grassy greens and salmon pinks shone brightly. The proportions were voluminous and the cobweb-like crocheted mohair weave was our favourite. John's skilled artisan hand apparent as ever. As we filed out of the show we bumped into world renowned photographer Uli Weber as smiling and charming as ever. While drinking champagne and catching up with Uli backstage we couldn't help notice the exquisite vintage diamond earrings being worn by Odette Rocha. Not surprising though as Odette possess's great style and timeless beauty.
